TPU tubes offer many of the benefits of going tubeless: lighter/faster wheel-weight, puncture and pinch-flat resistance, superior road feel through the tyres, streamlined roadside repair kits… and they retain the convenience of using tubes.

But electric bike pumps generate heat which can damage plastic valve stems. Smooth plastic valve stems can also make it difficult to attach your pump.
